Job Description

Our client is a growing contractor based in Kendal, dedicated to delivering high-quality residential groundworks. Their current projects primarily involve full residential groundworks and commercial groundworks. As the business continues to expand, they are looking for a skilled and experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join their team and grow within the business.

Salary: Negotiable + Van & Fuel Card

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience The Role:

As a Groundworks Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all groundworks activities on site. Your role will include ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule. You will be a key player in the team, working closely with site staff, subcontractors, and management to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all groundworks activities on site, including roads and sewers, kerb lines, drainage, top soiling, and foundations.
Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
Manage and mentor site teams, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity are maintained.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and management to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor site progress, identifying and resolving any issues as they arise.
Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress and site activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements:

Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor or a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of full residential groundworks including: plots, roads, sewers, kerb lines, drainage, and foundations etc
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate site teams.
Ability to read and interpret site plans and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
