Job Description
We have an immediate requirement for a New-Build Quantity Surveyor.
* Location: Eltham (Site based).
* Permanent position
* Compensation Package: £75,000 + Package
* Qualified Quantity Surveyor with a Minimum of 4 years experience in a commercial capacity, working in the Social housing sector as a principal and/or Main contractor across new build schemes
* Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction
* Experience working with typical Pricing agreements & Frameworks
* Experience Measuring Works, Generating and Agreeing applications.
* Experience Reviewing, Validating, and approving subcontractor quotations & variations
* Experience managing supply chain Partners.
* Experience in financial reporting and data analysis
* Strong numeracy and financial management skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary.
* IT skills including advanced Excel and Word are essential.
* Experience in Generating and delivering Monthly CVR Reviews
Main Duties:
* Prepare a monthly CVR by work stream demonstrating the commercial and financial position of the contract by work stream, and elements within work stream.
* Monitor All Direct Costs & Overheads and assist in the managing of these costs to ensure profitability is maintained.
* Ensure all Monthly applications are submitted in line with the contractual terms.
* Procure & Fully On-board subcontractors.
* Regularly check and value subcontractors work, agree valuations and produce payment certificates, in accordance with sub-contract conditions.
* To attend contract meetings, produce any specific information required for these meetings.
* To assist site and project managers in the identification and recording of variations.
* Ensure site and project managers are briefed on what is required for variations to be paid against
