Job DetailsA hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel contract.The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks of your assignment.Expect 25+ hours.
Job RequirementsMust hold an active BLS, ACLS and WA License.2 full years of experience.ACLS/code experience/IR experience.Strongly prefer prep/recovery skills.
Schedule InformationFour 10 hour shifts/week.Weeknight/Call Requirement: Typically 2 days/week.Weekend/Call Requirement: Typically only 1 weekend/month, sometimes 2.Holiday/Call Requirement: Occasional.Total call approx 10 days/month.Call response time: 30 min.
Unit Specific InformationCath Lab RN.# suites/labs: 2 labs + 1 prep/recovery.#cases per day on average: 4-5/room.Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CAD, stemi's.Do see a lot of random IR cases including embolization, inari, ekos, vascular angiogram/angioplastys.Job Duties: RN's do not scrub at this time. Only sedate and monitor mac lab.EMR/Equipment: EPIC for charting. We use balloon pumps for cath lab, but no impella.Cardiologist hours/on call: On call weekdays is 1730-0700.Cath Lab Techs: We have approx 5 RCIS's.Floating Requirements: YES. We go back and forth daily/weekly. IR skills required.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided for staff.Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 weeks orientation.
