The company operates within a diverse range of sectors, including manufacturing, food processing, mining, and logistics, providing high-quality, custom-engineered solutions.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to contribute to our client's fast-paced production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating a variety of metal products according to precise specifications and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to specifications and blueprints.
Inspect welds for quality, precision, and adherence to safety standards.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine material requirements and welding techniques.
Operate welding equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to the company’s health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure project timelines are met and production schedules are maintained.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on welding equipment.
THE EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Skilled in the use of welding and fabrication tools and equipment.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices in a welding environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
THE CONTRACT
This is a temporary-to-permanent position, providing an opportunity to transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
THE SALARY
The position offers a competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience, with opportunities for overtime
