Construction Project Manager - Fit-out

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience) + Benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP (flexible with notice periods)

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Fit-Out Project Manager to join a specialist interior fit-out business focusing on high-quality projects in the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors across the UK.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple interior fit-out projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Oversee project teams, subcontractors, and site trades, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration across all levels.
Create and manage contract programmes using Microsoft Project.
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Source and requisition materials, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments, including Commercial, Health & Safety, CAD, and Purchasing, to ensure the smooth running of projects.
Handle multiple live sites concurrently, with projects often running during nights and weekends.
Proactively solve design, structural, and site issues, providing solutions to maintain project momentum. Essential Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within the construction or related industries, with a strong background in retail, leisure, or hospitality fit-outs ranging from £100,000 to £3,000,000.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, particularly in carpentry, joinery, ceilings, partitions, and finishing trades.
Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage project teams and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel, with a comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and perform well under pressure while managing multiple projects. Benefits:

Competitive salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (negotiable for the right candidate).
