Job Description
Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a West London Borough Council whoa re seeking a Legal Officer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards to this position.
ROLE: Legal Officer (Planning and Property)
LOCATION: West London / hybrid (1 day pw in the office)
CONTRACT: 3 month with possibility of
RATE: £25.00 to £30.00 per hour (LTD)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare legal documents and advise on Right to Buy, Lease extensions, and property transactions.
To assist Homebuy and Property Compliance teams, ensuring the efficient delivery of council objectives.
Manage the creation and discharge of mortgages.
Assist with compulsory purchase orders and provide training to junior team members.
Ensure high-quality work and regular client communication.Skills & Experience:
A law degree (LPC / LLM / LLB) or relevant working experience would be essential for this position
Case experience of Right to Buy, Lease extensions and property transactions would be essential
Previous experience of working at a local authority would also be essential for this position
