Quantity Surveyor
Annual Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus Car Allowance
Location: Bath
Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team, reporting into a semi resident Commercial Manager and working on a £9 million scheme. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in a main contracting environment who possess strong commercial acumen and can demonstrate a track record of working within commercial, residential or leisure projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
Oversee the financial and commercial management of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Prepare, submit and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and reports.
Conduct risk and value management exercises, advising on procurement strategy.
Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Work closely with the commercial manager and project director to ensure project objectives are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
Strong understanding of construction processes and contract law.
Excellent negotiation and financial management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in relevant QS software and MS Office.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
