Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Salary: £60K-65K per annum + car allowance
The Role:
- Responsible for all Mechanical aspects of projects.
- Responsible for effective relationship management with clients & working partners to achieve smooth operational and commercial progression of projects.
- Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level.
- Managing projects from contract signature stage, through all phases until handover to the end user.
- Ensuring that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance.
- Overseeing all elements of the overall commissioning process to ensure that the installations are correctly commissioned.
- Ensuring that complete and comprehensive records are collated and maintained covering all aspects of quality control, system/equipment testing, commissioning and equipment maintenance.
- Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor for progress reports and to ensure all commercial and contractual requirements are correctly fulfilled.
- Attend on site meetings, as and when required.
- Overseeing the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals.
- Providing technical support and expertise to the internal project team.
- Managing variation costings and control with the Quantity Surveyor and main contractor.
- Responsible for handover to clients and after care.
- Responsible to produce monthly progress reports.
- Required to create RAMS & ITPs.
- Responsible for all aspects of procurement including writing subcontractor orders & purchase orders.
- Reporting to the Operations Director.
The Company:
- 65+ years experience delivering MEP projects UK wide.
- Offices based in North West England, Scotland & Northern Ireland.
- This company is currently at around £30M turnover per annum with ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years.
- This hire is due to the company winning a new prestigious project in the Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be overseeing projects in the North West of England after this project, working out of the companies Warrington branch.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will have 5+ years experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager.
- Will have previous experience working with large commercial projects.
- Will hold a Black CSCS Managers Card.
- Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Will have excellent communication skills.
