Full Time 37 hours per week

Salary: Soulbury Assistant Educational Psychologist Scale, scale points 2 – 4, £35,228 to £37,828.

Devon Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a well-established, lively and thriving EP community, which is undergoing an exciting period of development.

We are looking for assistant educational psychologists to join our friendly and dynamic service to support the delivery of strategic priorities as part of Devon’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) transformation.

This is the role - assistant educational psychologist
• Assist and support the delivery of a range of Educational Psychology activities, including statutory assessments, early intervention and preventative work.
• Support the Educational Psychology Service to provide a high-quality traded and core psychological service to schools and settings, working in partnership with children, families and partners to support the successful inclusion of children with SEN) and those from other vulnerable groups.
• Contribute to education health and care needs assessments by supporting EPs with Joint Assessment Meetings and pre-populating reports.
• Contribute to the process of psychological assessment through observations; individual work; seeking views; working with parents/carers or other professionals to develop strategies and contributing to the production of written reports.
• Work with individuals and groups of children and young people and parent carers to deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Work towards delivering the Devon SEND transformation plan and keep up to date with other priority areas for the EP service
