Job Title: Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems

Location: Commutable to Cardiff
Remuneration: £30,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems will involve:
* Estimator position producing estimates for the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors and facades
* Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
* Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
* Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
* Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
* Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
* Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured
* Attending pre and post tender meetings as and when required
* Estimating for projects ranging in value from £100k to circa £10m
* Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems experience with:
* Must have 2+ years estimating experience within the UK construction industry
* Ideally will have a strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing & structural glazing
* Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
* Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office)
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
