Job Description

Role: Consultant Project Manager

Location: York

Contract: Permanent

Pay: £35k to £45k

City Calling are proud to be working with an established client based in York. They are currently looking to onboard an experienced Consultant Project Manager to work for them on Permanent basis.

The clients are the market leaders within the industry and are constantly expanding due to which this role has become available. An ideal candidate will need to have at least 5 years’ experience of overseeing projects from its initiation to completion and need to demonstrate the correct understanding of skills and knowledge required for this role.

The clients are in the construction industry, So having previous experience of either in the construction or development industry is a must.

As a Consultant project manager, you will:

* Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations and procurement strategies.

* Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.

* Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, and cost-effectiveness.

* Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project status to stakeholders.

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, prioritising a safe working environment for all involved.

* Manage construction project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and change orders.

* Conduct regular meetings to facilitate communication, address challenges and to meet project objectives.

* Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates, and any significant developments or risks.

* Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

* Carry out thorough project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective measures.

* Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

An Ideal candidate will need to have:

* Strong leadership and motivational skills

* Experience in leading both virtual and physical teams

* Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a variety of project environments

* Excellent time and cost management skills

* Deep organisational knowledge

* Superb problem-solving and resource planning skills

* Expertise in creating project reports

* Solid interpersonal skills

* Efficiency in managing and prioritising tasks

* First-class verbal and written communication skills
