Job Description
Part Time 20 hours per week
Jop Purpose:
Responsible for the day to day maintenance of buildings and grounds and assistance with cleaning tasks within the home. Health and Safety checks in line with Care Quality Commission and Health and Safety at Work Act. Liaising with Contractors and suppliers.
To provide support to service users with differing levels of need and dependency in respect of the maintenance of their environment.
The role requires that their support tasks are undertaken in a sensitive and person centred way, placing the service user at the forefront of the support given.
The maintenance tasks will be varied, ranging from simple tasks such as changing light bulbs through to more complex tasks such as room decorating for example.
The handyperson is expected to work in a unified and flexible manner along with the rest of the team on shift to deliver excellent quality services.
