Mechanical Fitter

This is a site based role in the Blackburn area.

The role will be working Monday to Friday on a 4-8 week contract.

Skill Requirements as a Mechanical Fitter:

Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Engineer experience essential

Experience with pipework/ steelwork

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in using various hand and power tools

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

CSCS card desirable

Mechanical Fitter responsibilities:

Install new pipework systems, following blueprints, diagrams, and specifications

Working to engineering drawings to a high level of accuracy to ensure components are installed and set out accurately

Working with a variety of materials (ductile, plastics, carbon steel)

Perform routine maintenance on pipework systems, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs

Diagnose and repair pipework system failures, replacing or repairing faulty component

Working to company SHEQ standards at all times

As a Mechanical Fitter you will report directly to the Mechanical Site Manager and will be required to undertake the installation of package plants, pipe fitting and to assist with site integration. You will be joining an existing Mechanical team.
