Job Description

We are looking for an SAP with HV experience for our clients project in Dalry, North Ayrshire.

About the Role

As a Senior Authorised Person (SAP), you will play a key role in our electrical projects, ensuring that all electrical work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role involves working with high and low voltage systems, up to 11kV. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Overseeing Electrical Work: Supervising and coordinating all electrical activities on site, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Safety First: Enforcing strict safety protocols, particularly around isolations and energising circuits, to protect everyone on site.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with the project management team, external contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Site Leadership: Leading by example in health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) management, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and management system requirements.
Technical Expertise: Using your deep understanding of electrical systems to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, answering Technical Questions and ensure optimal system performance.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all electrical operations and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in line with regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Educational Background: HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Industry Experience: Proven experience as a site electrical supervisor within construction or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience as an active Appointed Person.
Safety Certifications: Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent, plus a valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS, or CCNSG card.
HV Operational Safety: Trained with a recognised body in HV operational safety.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience as a LoTo (Lockout/Tagout) coordinator.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills in HSEQ management, with a deep understanding of relevant legal and management system requirements
