Immunology Group Head

(Position based in Vitry – remote work possible 2 days/week)

Within a Center of Excellence established in Vitry on Immune Regulation and Autoimmune Diseases (AID) and incorporating ~ 30 scientists, we are looking for a dynamic manager to lead immunology research activities within a dedicated focus on immune tolerance and autoimmunity. The wider context of this role is the high priority and importance that the employing organization places on the future of immunotherapies.

I – YOUR MAIN MISSIONS

You'll be both a manager and a researcher! Scientific innovation, cross-functional work, and international collaborations await you. We particularly rely on you to:

• Establish the scientific vision and strategy of your project portfolio, by identifying promising therapeutic targets and providing your expertise in immunology,
• Lead your team of scientists, supervise them, enable their skills development and career growth (8-10 scientists will be under your supervision),
• Manage your own research projects,
• Provide scientific expertise and innovative ideas, ensure scientific and competitive intelligence in your field,
• Seek, initiate, and manage internal and external scientific collaborations,
• Present results, prepare publications, clinical/regulatory documentation in accordance with the group's quality standards.

II – THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The essentials:

• A PhD in immunology / cellular immunology,
• Expertise in molecule development in immunology, evidenced by a solid background (minimum 10 years) in industry and/or academic research (it is important to highlight collaborations with CROs, biotechs, or pharmaceutical companies).

Your knowledge in adaptive or innate immunity, immunological assays, biomarker identification, inflammatory diseases, tolerance, translational immunology will be welcome.

How to stand out? Through your ability to demonstrate leadership in planning complex projects, and your communication skills to support teams in a changing environment.

Fluent English is required for this position. Proficiency in French or a willingness to learn would be an asset.
