Intermediate Automation QA Analyst to test both Web and Mobile Applications with API (Postman) and Java/JavaScript experience to work with one of our major banking clients - 35203 Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto- 1/week (no set date, dependent on project) Contract Duration: 2 months with VERY Strong possibility of extension - to May 2025 (short due to budget) Schedule Hours: 37.5 hrs/week Story Behind the Need Business group: Digital Technology - HM’s portfolio has many applications, manages SBH, BRL, APIs, Works - doing automation testing Project: Project Zero PO application - SBH (Small Business Hub update) set to start next year 2025- have a PO application for this, incumbent will need to work on automating UI test scripts for the PO application Typical Day in Role: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Write moderate to complex code/ scripts to test systems. Design, develop and maintain a modular, extensible, and reusable test automation framework to enable continuous testing in an agile environment. Work closely with Team Lead, Software Testing, providing team and project status updates, escalating issues as needed (e.g., resourcing, training, etc.) Develop coding standards and testing approaches, enhance existing testing framework, and research/ implement new testing methodologies to best complement tech stack/ assets for the team. Work closely with Product Owner/ BSA to determine near-term and future plans for the team. Collaborate with Delivery Lead to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed Must Have Skills: 5 years of demonstrated hands-on and in-depth Test Automation experience- testing on both web and mobile applications 5 years of test automation experience and in-depth knowledge of programming languages: Java/ JavaScript 2 years’ recent experience with API testing - preferably using Postman Nice-To-Have Skills: Python automation experience 2 years of Lead experience Experience within FI Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred Best VS. Average Candidate: Focus is on web automation experience however want them to have both mobile and web; someone who can work with minimal hand holding and can take initiative hence the Lead experience is a nice to have to show they can be independent; strong automation skills; strong communication skills Candidate Review & Selection MS Teams Video Interviews Codility test will be sent ahead of time for them to complete, if succesful will interview - Few different questions in Java and automation framework 1-hour Technical Interview - with team - technical questions (no coding) 45 minutes interview with Hiring Manager - culture fit Apply
