Job Purpose:


A Senior Software Developer will help us design and build out software solutions that are needed to support the business as it continues to expand. They will also be responsible for guiding their team towards a common goal and enforcing design decisions. They will be responsible for organizing their team’s work using Agile methodologies and delivering regular increments of value. They will be part of a highly collaborative environment where they will work to develop their skill sets and share knowledge gained with the team. We take the opinions of our technical staff into account and value the unique skills and perspective that each person has to offer.


What you will do:


Participate in and/or lead daily stand-ups and other meetings


Research and choose secure and extensible technologies


Research and choose coding practices that ensure legibility, consistency, and clarity. Enforce consistent coding practices within the team


Develop new features that deliver value to the end user


Manage deployments


Review code


Interview, hire, or train new developers as needed to grow the team with a focus on quality


Make prioritization decisions that consider the stakeholder’s needs while maintaining good practices


Take charge in leading and instructing others to improve the skillset of the team


Ensure that code is being reviewed and organized


Ensure that development pipelines are built and maintained for CI/CD


Create secure systems that minimize vulnerabilities


Advanced knowledge of relevant programming languages and technolgies


Advanced knowledge of system frameworks such as MVC structure


Advanced knowledge of data structures and algorithms


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in computer and information technology or a related field.


Previous experience as a software programmer. (Senior leadership experience preferred)


Experience creating and maintaining databases.


Advanced project management skills.


Very Strong interpersonal skills.
