Job Description Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring that store IT systems provide needed business functions, operate efficiently and securely and can be easily built and re-built from established and tested instructions. This position requires working overtime on weeknights and weekends on a regular basis, based on business requirements. Since the most effective time to correct issues is prior to shops opening, the position requires a daily start time no later than 6:00 AM normally and 5:00 AM around peak business seasons.
The Pay Rate for this position is $33-$36.

Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and correct issues with shop POS terminals.
- Proactively recommend and assist with creation of support tools to help correct POS issues.
- Provide telephone support to shops when trouble shooting POS issues. Review the Alert Console and correct issue as possible prior to shop opening.
- Assist Store Systems Administrator with testing and deploying tools and updates. Assist with system testing of updates received from a third party.
- Provide POS application support including common setups.
- Provide POS hardware support including trouble shooting and shipping replacements as needed.
- Coordinate IT activities for shop openings, moves and closings.
- Ensure that the client management application maintains an accurate, up-to-date POS terminal inventory.
- Review the Hughes Network Management portal for data communication issues and follow up as required.
- Assist with shop data communication including installation and repair support, trouble shooting and trouble ticket follow up using the Hughes Customer Gateway and Network Management portal.
- Establish and maintain best practices operating procedures for all periodic client management application tasks.
- Provide reports for POS compliance attestation as well as other assigned. Work overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years retail POS and support experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using remote control tools to support Windows terminal
- Minimum 3 years of Windows support experience including preparing, building and testing Window images. LANDesk Management and Security Suite experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision, overtime on nights and weekends and variable start times.
