About Our Client
My client is a leading builder-developer specializing in multifamily projects. My client prides themselves on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join their team in Oakton, VA. The APM will focus on managing 2-3 new ground-up multifamily construction projects. This role requires someone with a strong background in multifamily construction and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Job Description
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing multifamily construction projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications and schedules are met.
- Monitor project progress, address issues as they arise, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project schedules.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction activities are progressing according to plan.
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Assist in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in multifamily construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
