Job Description:
Our client located just north of Providence has an immediate opening for an Senior Software Developer - Contentful to join their team. Our client is currently investing in their tech stack to enhance client experience for the better. As part of this they are migrating from a legacy CMS to Contentful and seeking a Senior CMS developer to join the growing group.

Responsibilities

• Working with our Product team and clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into technical requirements and solutions using Contentful CMS platform.
• Provide technical guidance and collaboration to project teams, including developers and designers, throughout the project lifecycle
• Design, Develop and Architect CMS based web applications
• Create technical and Architecture documentation related to projects
• Helping to guide system architecture for structured content, data, security, performance, UX and analytics
• Developing presentation components of structured content with Contentful based solutions
• Developing integrations with external services and systems
• Working with structured content, data template definition and inheritance / content engineering (content modelling, metadata, schema, taxonomy)
• Following Agile/Scrum practices for project management
• Facilitate release/deployments and expanding team CI/CD capabilities
• Conduct unit tests of front-end code for cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility inconsistencies
• Testing for compliance to specified standards such as accessibility standards in the client's region or domain
• Create visually appealing web pages or interfaces using advanced HTML, CSS, .NET & JavaScript
• Identify bottlenecks and optimizing code for speed and efficiency
• Implementing security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities
• Support clients and team members in debugging issues, resolving errors, and ensuring smooth site operation
• Report regular status, escalate any major decisions, issues, and risks to the appropriate team member

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 7+ years development experience with Contentful or other similar CMS platform(s)
• 7+ years working with API frameworks and microservices architectures
• Experience in .NET (ASP.NET), C#, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience setting up and deploying sites in Azure
• Understanding of Source Control best practices and well versed at least one tool (eg GIT)
• Experience working with and configuring CI/CD tools
• Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
• Strong Testing first background
