The way businesses buy stuff is completely broken. Whether it's SaaS, hardware, or contractors, the average B2B purchase takes over 3 months, requires 50+ emails, and involves multiple different stakeholders (IT, Legal, InfoSec, Finance, etc.). No one likes the way it is and it's slowing businesses down.

Omnea's platform handles the entire purchasing process: giving employees an easy place to make requests (Intake), managing the necessary approvals for the purchase to be made (Approvals Engine), and automating all renewals management & supplier risk assessments. Omnea gives both buyers, and finance & procurement leaders critical visibility into how, when, and why money is being spent.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Lead who is eager to help scale an early-stage company and play an instrumental role in shaping our growth

You'll be joining us at an incredibly exciting time, just as things are starting to take off! Last summer, we raised an initial $5m from two tier 1 VCs and 30+ renowned founders, and we've spent the past 12 months building & deploying our platform with well known tech companies.

Now we're ready to scale fast and we need someone to continue to drive our business development efforts. We've built an experienced team & our CEO & CFO went on a similar journeys with Tessian, driving revenue from $0-30m+ ARR, and from pre-seed to Series C (Sequoia, Accel, etc.).

This role offers significant growth potential, and we see this person playing a significant role as Omnea continues to scale

What Can You Expect?
  • You'll be the first Business Development hire at one of Europe's most promising early-stage companies, working closely with a seasoned team who have successfully built companies and partnered with top investors and teams.
  • Collaborate with top 10-20 Private Equity and Growth Equity funds, hosting regular procurement events for their portfolio companies to build strategic relationships.
  • Partner with consulting firms and major analysts to position Omnea as a key player in the industry and raise our profile through strategic collaborations
  • Partner with consulting firms and larger analysts to help put Omnea on the map
  • Build strong relationships with procurement-focused organisations and industry influencers to expand Omnea's presence
  • Form partnerships with procurement contractors, recruiters, consultants, and thought leaders who, helping extend Omnea's reach within the procurement ecosystem
About You
  • You're ambitious, competitive, and care lots about your career. You are probably happiest when working really hard and solving challenging problems. You know this requires dedication & some sacrifice but you think it's worth it
  • You have the gravitas and presence to engage with highly experienced professionals, holding your own with industry leaders who have decades of experience. You have good commercial intuition, and the ability to build rapport, influence people & drive change, whether it's with a distinguished exec or a junior operator.
  • You bring 7-10 years of experience in business development, venture capital, or private equity, ideally within technical products or relevant sectors
  • You're entrepreneurial and want to be part of building a business. You want to rise faster or earn more than would be possible in any 'normal' career and you're happy to roll up your sleeves and do whatever's required. FYI, we've signed up to the Future Founder Promise
  • You're intelligent and resourceful, able to quickly master the intricacies of our product without needing support from engineers
  • You're an outstanding communicator; verbal, written, and when presenting and can easily articulate difficult concepts
  • You have a proven track record of exceptional performance, whether in academia, work, sports, or other areas where you've applied yourself
