In addition to performing phlebotomy, the Phlebotomy Technician greets patients and visitors, processes and clarifies orders, and answers calls in a courteous and responsible manner. A Phlebotomy Technician possesses knowledge of phlebotomy procedures with diverse patient age groups and has basic knowledge, skills and proficiency with computers and computer-related technology.
