Owen Daniels are currently partnered with leading manufacturing business, specialising in Special Purpose Machinery/Capital Equipment for the Automotive Industry.
Controls Engineer
Job Description
To design control circuits for special purpose machines
To create functions list for machine control and populate with relevant cross referencing to controls circuits
To ensure safety both in designs and implementation in house and on customer sites
To provide guidance and advise on a technical level to other departments
To liaise with site teams to ensure smooth interaction between site and controls engineers
To interface with both in house sub contract staff and exterior design resources
To support other departments within the company including Sales, Purchasing, HR, Finance and Factory
To work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
To support the controls requirements for both powertrain and car body technology sides of the business

Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Experience of Controls Design (Supporting and updating existing modifications)
Experience of Siemens S7 / s7 TIA Portal Programming & Commissioning
Controls Engineer
Desirable Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Good working knowledge of electrical circuit design
Experience in special purpose design with a knowledge of the latest standards
Understanding of AutoCad or E-plan
