Most of us grow up with five senses and can’t imagine what it’s like to lose any one of those.

For some ex-service people, this is their reality. Suddenly their whole way of life is changed, even walking to the shops becomes a huge task.

Fortunately our client is here to help rebuild their lives, but they can’t do it alone. This is where you come in.

As part of the Wellbeing Support team, you’ll support the wider health and wellbeing team to deliver varied wellbeing programmes designed to give vision-impaired ex-service people both the motivation and the ability to live a full, healthy lifestyle and engage in meaningful activities.

You’ll work as part of a team to research, plan, organise and facilitate a holistic wellbeing programme to be delivered to vision-impaired ex-service people.

You’ll need a qualification in a field such as: health and social care, sports, exercise, recreation, IT, art or similar.

You’ll also need empathy and a caring personality to allow you to always put the needs of the vision-impaired ex-service people first.

This is a full time role working on a 5-week rolling rota, covering days, evenings and weekends.

Our client helps vision-impaired ex-service people of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. They help vision-impaired ex-service people lead independent and fulfilling lives by supporting them with their in-depth expertise, experience and full range of services.
