Junior Telematics Engineer (Field Based)

We are looking for a Junior Telematics Engineer to provide continued support to our growing and established customer base within London and the surrounding areas.

With full training provided, we are looking for individuals with the right attitude and appetite to learn new skills; so, whilst experience with auto electrics is advantageous it is not essential. What will you be doing?

Ensure Microlise product portfolio is full integrated into our customer’s assets

Timely visits to customer sites to undertake the installation, servicing and continued support of our product suite

Completing survey visits and identifying suitable solutions

Completing QA (quality assurance) visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets

Inventory management

Responsible for the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools /equipment

Liaise with customers at all levels

Provide support to your peers and contractor resource where required

Ensure administration is concise, accurate and professional

Adhere to all internal process and procedures

Report on statistical information when required

What are we looking for?

Knowledge and understanding of electronics/auto electrics, or experience working with telematics, would be ideal

Experience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules

Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret these would be advantageous

Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach

A positive can-do attitude, with a strong desire to learn new skills

Passionate and positive approach to all that you do

Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiences

Be able to work autonomously, solve problems independently and adhere to agreed processes

Take pride in what you do ensuring quality and accuracy

Flexibility to work nationwide including overnight stays

Valid Passport for travel

Full UK Driving Licence

Working Pattern

Our Field Engineers work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends, to suit the requirements of our customers. Full details regarding our working patterns can be discussed at the interview stage, and upon application you will be provided with an example of a typical rota.
