Job Description

Masterclass are working with an educational institution committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for all students. They specialise in students with special educational needs.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating effective teaching and learning experiences for students with special educational needs (SEN) across the school.

Location: Crowborough

Salary: MPS +SEN Allowance

Contract: Part Time – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday weekly

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and personalized learning programs for students with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate support and accommodations to meet their diverse needs.

* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons and activities that cater to the unique learning styles, abilities, and interests of students with SEN, utilizing a range of teaching strategies and resources.

* Provide ongoing assessment and monitoring of students' progress, adapting teaching approaches and interventions as necessary to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

* Collaborate effectively with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists) to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the needs of students with SEN.

* Implement behavior management strategies and techniques to support students with SEN in developing self-regulation and social skills, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all.

Must have:

* Hold QTS

* Previous experience with SEN (personal, volunteer, work experience) although this isn’t essential.

* Be able to drive however, there is public transport.

* A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one

* Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
