Accounts Assistant
Welshpool
Permanent
Mon – Fri – 8:30am – 5:00pm
£26,000 - £30,000 per annum
We are working with a successful business based in Welshpool who are looking for an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team in a variety of accounting tasks.
You will be responsible for:
* Purchase ledger
* Sales ledger
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Credit control
* Bank reconciliations
* Weekly payment runs
* Collate and process payroll for two monthly cycles
* Administer pension schemes and contributions
* Submit monthly CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns
* Post entries to the Nominal Ledger, including prepayments and accruals
* Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes
Skills and Experience
Experience of working in a similar role is essential. You will ideally have experience of running payroll too. Excel skills would be an advantage, including the use of formulas and spreadsheet creation.
