Job Description

The Role

Were have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) Manager to join our Rocksavage Power Station! As a valued member of our management team, you will play a key role in maintaining the plant so that it operates reliably while still maintaining high levels of performance. Your expertise in maintenance and reliability methods will be instrumental in maintaining, repairing, and improving the mechanical equipment to ensure that our power station operates to the highest level of safety standards.

The Rocksavage Team

The Rocksavage team consists of highly skilled and experienced individuals, all focused on continually improving the way we operate, maintain, and manage the plant. Our Reliability Improvement Program has become one of the key drivers in improving how we work. With an ingrained mindset of doing the right thing every day and aid in leading the way to sustainable generation. Our goal being to become the first hydrogen co-fired CCGT power station in the country.

Summary of Responsibilities

Maintenance & Reliability

Short-term outage planning and execution to improve availability and reliability figures as well as assisting in the management of major planned outages.

Establish and maintain agreements with maintenance service providers and contractors to support maintenance activities.

Prepare and implement plant maintenance strategies, maintenance plans and spares strategies for the asset.

When required, deputise for the Plant Manager, covering the other managerial positions on site and supporting the wider InterGen teams on short term secondments.

Carry out studies to ascertain failure modes, frequency of failure and risk mitigants required to prevent failures from occurring.

Perform Root Cause Analysis studies of all Loss of Load and potential Loss of Load events to improve reliability of the plant.

Communicate with other plants to understand and share learnings that will improve plant reliability.

Ensure that necessary routine and defect maintenance is performed in a safe and timely manner to allow the plant to meet production and market requirements.

HSSE

Manage plant health and safety by maintaining safe plant assets and targeting the highest standards of performance.

Ensure your team members comply with site safety rules, site safety programmes and initiatives through promotion of safe work practices

Operate and maintain the plant to minimise emissions breaches and manage Maintenance Health & Safety to ensure zero incidents.

Understand Environmental Emissions reporting and educate production team members in relation to the environmental management systems on site.

Oversee the management and delivery of departmental Safety and Compliance Work Orders.

Systems

Implement and manage an effective maintenance management system (MMS) to schedule preventive maintenance tasks and record details of maintenance activities and costs.

Plan and document pro-active and preventive maintenance to demonstrate how risks are managed.

Implement information systems to support operational and maintenance requirements for the station.

Establish, manage, and revise production procedures/instructions within company guidelines.

People Management

Involve employees in setting goals, developing plans and schedules, establishing team and personal performance measures, and monitoring performance against the business objectives.

Devise a succession plan for your team to minimise any potential disruption to the business.

Provide an environment which encourages exceptional performance, creates learning and development opportunities, promotes Employer of Choice work atmosphere, and supports and mentors the plants Maintenance & Reliability team

Ensure your team members comply with site safety rules, site safety programmes and initiatives through promotion of safe work practices.

Provides leadership and direction to the Maintenance Team, including managing individual and team performance.

When required, involvement of employee recruitment, selection, reviews, and training in the maintenance area.

Costs

Actively look at minimising maintenance costs by monitoring, investigating and instigating solutions and improvements.

Establish and manage the maintenance budget and identify cost reduction opportunities.

Establish budget requirements for future years to assist business planning activities.

Raise capital projects and assist in the implementation of Capital projects.

It is essential that you have previous experience in leading the operations and maintenance of a large processing facility or similar. Education/Experience

Degree educated in an Engineering or related discipline is preferred (Wed still love to hear from you if you have alternative qualifications or suitable practical experience)

Prior experience in leading the operations and/or maintenance of a large processing facility or similar; ideally a power station or similar infrastructure, ideally with CCGT power generation operational experience
