Job Description
Job Title: Estimator
Location: Pudsey
Salary: up to £50k
Hours of Work: 40 Hours Monday – Friday
Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)
A specialist interiors contractor with a growing reputation in the market now require an Estimator to join their busy pre-construction team.
Duties
Review project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work
Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
Collaborate with project managers and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates
Analyse and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
Maintain records of estimates, including quantities, costs, and sources
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure cost control
It is essential or preferrable that you have the following experience, qualifications or skills;
Proven 8 years’ experience as an Estimator in the construction industry and have worked for another SME
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in estimating software is desirable
A degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is advantageous
