Network Infrastructure Engineer

£280/day Max Inside IR35
6 Months initial contract
Are you passionate about digital infrastructure and cybersecurity in the healthcare sector?
We are looking for a skilled Digital Infrastructure Network Specialist to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role involves implementing, supporting, and maintaining our secure WAN and LAN network infrastructure, including VoIP telecoms.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist technical expertise in network and network security infrastructure.
Support and manage Extreme, Cisco, and Mitel VoIP technologies.
Ensure highly available WAN and LAN connectivity for critical services.
Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with technical specialists to implement best practice Cyber Security controls.
Administer configuration of VoIP technologies to ensure continuous service.
Automate routine tasks through scripting and maintain documentation.
Implement effective monitoring systems for network components.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network systems and services.
Establish and review departmental policies and processes in line with ITIL best practices.
Ensure compliance with NHS and legislative standards for security controls.
Analyze security bulletins and enhance cyber security measures.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Extensive experience in network infrastructure and security, ideally at Band 6 equivalent.
Proficient in managing complex networks including LAN, WAN, HSCN, and more.
Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and clinical systems protocols (DICOM, HL7).
Experience in the NHS network and security environments.
Certifications: Cisco CCNA and ITIL qualifications are essential.
Skills:
Strong analytical and judgment skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with diverse teams.
