Job Description
As a Senior Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our construction sites operate efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, leading teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
- Lead, motivate, and manage on-site teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, designs, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety, quality, and productivity.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, safety audits, and material deliveries.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager with a Tier 1 construction company.
- Strong background in managing large-scale construction projects, ideally in commercial, residential, or infrastructure sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in using project management software and site management tools.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are essential.
- Full UK driving license
