Senior Planner
Top National Main Contractor
Location: Bristol
Project: £600M Multi-Phase Commercial New Build
Reporting to: Planning Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing tender and construction programmes, distributing drawings and information to site teams.
* Develop tender programmes into Master Construction Programme.
* Collaborate with Planning Manager, Construction Director, and Contract Manager to finalize Master Programmes and create stage/section programmes.
* Report progress to Contract Directors and senior management.
* Adjust Master Programme to mitigate delays and advise on programme slippage.
* Prepare logistics, method statements, and periodic project reviews.
* Maintain programme database (Gateway) and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001).
* Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to corporate social responsibility initiatives.
* Support company CPD by participating in relevant training.
Required Experience:
* Construction-related qualification (HND/HNC/BTEC/Degree).
* Proficient in Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project.
* Minimum 3 years' project planning experience with on-site/live project involvement.
* Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office, report preparation, and presentation.
Desirable Skills:
* CSR/CSCS Card or CIOB accreditation.
* Competency in AutoCAD and other design software.
* Familiarity with tender and contract documents, planning methods, and commercial aspects of construction.
* Experience in tendering and bids.
