Mechanical Draughtsman

Convert engineering sketches and specifications into detailed design and working drawings Develop piping and equipment general arrangement drawings Prepare isometric drawings for pipework Create equipment layouts according to engineering specifications or conceptual drawings Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards, procedures, and relevant national/international standards Verify the dimensional accuracy of all work produced Perform site measurements of equipment, buildings, and structures as required Assess weekly draughting requirements, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources in consultation with the Operations Director Skills & Experience: Meticulous attention to detail Proficient in AutoCAD Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and planning abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good physical health for site visits Qualification: Post-matric draughting qualification or equivalent experience Minimum of two years experience in a technical drawing office, focusing on mechanical and piping drawings Good understanding of the engineering environment and relevant standards/design codes Experience working in a petrochemical-type drawing office or a similar setting Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
