Mechanical Design Technologist

Job Description: Generate efficient designs prioritizing simplicity, feasibility, cost-efficiency, and accuracy Create detailed manufacturing drawings adhering to acknowledged manufacturing standards Compile part specifications, Bill of Materials (BOMs), production orders, and manuals Implement engineering change proposals (ECPs) on designs Issue revisions and updates to manufacturing drawings, material lists, and machine manuals Lay out customer manufacturing areas Draft Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) Provide technical support during manufacturing processes and for on-site technicians Skills & Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in machine design and manufacturing Minimum of 2 years' CAD experience Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and 2D CAD Competence in 3D CAD machine design Ability to work independently and within a team Willingness to travel nationally and internationally Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement) Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous) Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
