Job Description





An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Health Visiting and Community Childrens Nursing teams for a motivated, dynamic and experienced Health Visitor with highly developed clinical and leadership skills.


We are looking to recruit a credible and motivated individual to the post of Team Leader for Health Visitors in Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership.
There are two Team Leader posts available. One to cover the East area of the Health and Social Care Partnership and the other to cover the West area. Both posts are Band 7 and full time hours.
The successful candidate will be accountable as an autonomous specialist practitioner and will have a key role in providing Leadership, support and positive role modelling to the Health Visiting and Community Childrens Nursing Services within a defined area of Argyll and Bute.
The post holder has responsibility for supporting the ongoing delivery of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway and ensuring that standards of practice are maintained, reviewed and continuously developed.
You must hold a first level Nursing or Midwifery qualification with Public Health Nursing qualification (Part 3 of NMC Register) with first degree and evidence of continuing professional development.
A current driving licence is essential for this post.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
