Estimator Buildings

Our established client based on the outskirts of Cardiff is looking to recruit for an additional Estimator into there busy team.

Job spec:
* Reviewing of architectural specifications and drawings.
* Build up detailed quotations, proposals, and cost breakdowns.
* Liaise with main contractors and supply chain partners with regards to specifications.
* Ability to suggest specification changes when needed.
* Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
* Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
* Monitoring the costs at the various stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.

Person Spec:
* Estimating experience within the Construction Industry, preferably with strong knowledge of windows and doors including Aluminium and glazing.
* Familiar with using in house estimating systems.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good numerical skills.
* Computer literate and ideally with knowledge of the pricing software.
* Car driver ideally
* Ability to work in a team with a good sense of humour.
