The Together Trust are one of the leading charities in the North West of England. For over 150 years, we have been championing and caring for people with disabilities and complex health needs, providing life-changing support for looked-after children and care-experienced people and delivering transformative education services.

This transformative Service Director position will play a vital role in shaping the Together Trust of the future. As a key member of the Trust’s Leadership Team, you will support the charity in achieving its organisational strategic priorities. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Team, you will have responsibility for delivering outstanding quality services that cross the boundaries of education, health, and social care in line with the Trust’s strategic vision and ambitions of the children, young people, adults and families we support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure that services are person centred, outcome focused and responsive to the views and needs of the people we support.
• Work with Local Authorities, Social Care, Education and other partners to retain existing business and develop new opportunities.
• Work with commissioning bodies to influence and shape the market, identifying opportunities and prospects for the Trust.
• Ensure the voice of the people we support informs policy, campaigning, and service development.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with CQC, OFSTED and other regulatory bodies.
• Work closely with the Commercial Director and Business Development Team to champion new and innovative ideas which improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
• Lead as the Trust’s Designated Safeguarding Officer ensuring compliance with the local Safeguarding Board and Charity Commission guidance throughout the Trust.
• Be a positive role model for the culture of the Trust, ensuring the Trust is a great place to work, with diverse, talented, and skilled individuals at all levels. We are looking for an individual with substantial senior leadership experience level within a children/adult social care and SEND educational services environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with national, regional and local education and social care systems and a successful track record of translating organisational strategy and vision into successful operational objectives and plans.
