Technical Sales Mining

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Marketing Technician to join our team. The Sales and Marketing Technician will lead and oversee the development and submission of comprehensive proposals for spares and services, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company goals. Requirements: Technical Diploma. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within the heavy engineering industry. Experience with Sales to the SA Mining industry. Attend inquiry site meetings, which may include visits to the underground workings of a mine. Ensure meticulous compilation of client inquiry documentation, aiming to facilitate practical evaluation and assist in communication that comprehensively addresses all technical and commercial aspects. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Commercial, and Finance, to guarantee that proposals align with technical, financial and commercial objectives. Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of enquiry requirements, proactively identifying potential challenges and proposing innovative solutions to meet the client's needs efficiently. Gather and collate expertise that the proposal development team provides, ensuring that collective knowledge is effectively leveraged in proposal development and technical problem-solving. Verify that orders received align with bid submissions, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Assist in aligning commercial terms with the tender terms and conditions. Draft comprehensive order acceptance letters, providing clear communication of project acceptance. Facilitate the seamless handover of successful bids to the Engineering, Production, and Quality departments. Collaborate with Managers to conduct cost evaluations during the project execution phase, ensuring cost-effectiveness and project efficiency.
