Export Control Manager

A leading Aerospace & Defence contractor are looking for an Export Control Manager to join their Air division.

The role is hybrid and can be based out of Brough, Warton or Samlesbury.

The Export Control team supports numerous different projects spanning countries from across the globe. Each day brings new challenges and experiences that you will struggle to match in other roles. This role will provide you with diversity of programmes and a challenging environment with an opportunity to become a subject matter expert in Export Control.

What you'll be doing:

• Being the 'go to' person for your respective programmes, understanding key programme deliverables and export licensing requirements
• Making sense of the export control and licensing challenges, establishing the facts and putting in place solutions that enables timely delivery and protects our future business, produce, implement, maintain and regularly review the Export Control and Licensing Management Plans
• Supporting the implementation and management of the export control governance including, risk identification and management, audit and assurance and timely investigation and reporting
• Growing and sustaining productive relationships with a broad stakeholder group, which includes project teams, customers, suppliers and national licensing authorities
• Supporting corporate/internal and external audits, including closure of actions where appropriate

Essential Skills:

• UK and US (ITAR/ EAR) Export Control Regulatory experience
• Ability to manage complex issues in a fast pace environment and to influence a common team objective and drive towards its delivery
• The ability to work in high level of self-motivation, proactivity and flexibility, with the ability to operate independently of direct management and to build effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally

Desirable Skills:

• Ability to communicate at all levels
• To have a working knowledge of export control regulations, business processes & procedures gained through experience in a military aerospace environment

The salary is £57,000 to £65,000 plus benefits.
