Location: Perth, Perth & Kinross

Contract: Permanent, 35 or 38 hours per week, including backshift*. Overtime available.

Salary: £13.25 per hour, £16 per hour for drivers with a D Licence

Job Description:

We are seeking Prisoner Custody Officers to join our dedicated team in Aberdeen. This is a unique and vital role within the criminal justice system, where you will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation and custody of detainees.

Key Responsibilities: - Prisoner Custody Officer, Perth, Perth & Kinross

• Vehicle-Based Role: Escort, supervise, and transport prisoners between courts, police stations, prisons, hospitals, and other locations. Ensure the vehicle is equipped and ready for daily operations.
• Court-Based Role: Work as part of a team to ensure the safety and security of those in custody. Maintain order in the courtroom, complete relevant documentation, and manage prisoner movements.
• General Duties: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of those in your care. Maintain accurate records and liaise with Prison and Police authorities.

* backshift hours: 13.00 22.00 on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Requirements:

• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Non-judgmental approach, treating individuals with dignity and respect.
• Physical fitness and flexibility to carry out the role safely.
• Full UK driving license (D Licence preferred for drivers).
