The role

Do you have a proven track record of delivering regeneration projects of varying size and complexity? Are you a proven leader with the ability to manage, motivate and develop team members? If yes, then this may be the perfect role for you!

As the Head of Regeneration, you will lead the programme of complex regeneration schemes from inception through to contract tender stage, including the stakeholder engagement process, design and planning, the management of internal and external project teams, governance and audit, as well as managing financial viability and scheme budgets. Youll be working across the organisation with dedicated teams, evaluating and monitoring the social value objectives for every project. In addition to being as an ambassador for Southern Housing in relationships with external stakeholders, always promoting a positive image and upholding the corporate values.

Your role within the Regeneration & Strategic Projects team will be invaluable, as you will lead and control the programme to remain on budget, brief, design and quality and to always mitigate potential risk. By identifying new regeneration and strategic project opportunities you will help secure pipeline opportunities for Southern Housing. Your main office will be Fleet House, Farringdon, with the option for working in a hybrid way as agreed with your manager.

What youll have

  • Senior level experience, with a deep understanding of the development process from inception to handover and a proven track record of delivering regeneration projects of varying size and complexity and securing major partnership opportunities and delivering links between property development and other regeneration and economic development outcomes.
  • Previous experience of bringing forward a varied range and size of regeneration schemes, including the development of innovative strategies, social value initiatives, community charters and delivery mechanisms.
  • Experience of leading teams through land purchase, design and planning, and construction tender process.
  • Experience in the preparation, management and control of complex budgets and thorough understanding of financial appraisals and risk analysis of projects.
  • Proven track record of working with local communities and stakeholders, leading and managing engagement strategies specific to the regeneration project.
  • Well-developed communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, persuading and influencing at senior management level.
  • Youll approach activities with a positive can-do attitude, demonstrating real ownership of issues and delivering on commitments.
