About Our Client

My client is a well-known general contractor headquartered in St. Louis with local projects and a strong presence in the area. This client is growing fast and hiring appropriatley for their robust backlog. Projects range from $8M-$60M, most sitting around the $10M-$20M range. They are focused on Multi-Family (assisted living) and work with banks on a 50/50 split pof ground-up and TI Projects both in and out of state (APM role will be local).

Job Description

Reporting directly into the Project Managers, the main duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager will include the following:

• Oversee project operations - assist with coordinating workload, schedules, budgeting, and more
• Communicates effectively, assisting to establish and foster relationships with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors
• Assists to develop client relationships
• Assists to plan and coordinate project activities in line with company polices and procedures
• Assists to partner with the estimating team to assist with the preconstruction side
• In-office role, occasional on-site travel with reporting PM

The Successful Applicant

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager with a General Contractor
• Bachelor's degree (construction related degree highly preferred)
• Experience working ground up construction projects
