PIA Supervisor

Due to the continued success and expansion of Avonline Networks we have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join our team in (South Wales). Avonline Networks deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis. From the national fibre networks which millions of homes and businesses rely upon every day, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU's) across the UK. Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to MDU's across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS. The role & responsibilities: You will be responsible for creating a safe working environment with a zero-harm culture, ensuring teams are trained as appropriate and sufficient governance in place to ensure all health and safety checks are completed within required timescale and quality. You will: Spend time on site with the DL / Subcontractors to make sure sites are compliant with NRSWA / Safe environment. Answer questions asked by the working engineers / locals / councils. Investigate civils activities and look for other ways to proceed with the network E.G potential spans and re-routes instead of digging overlays . Occasional wheel out of sections to confirm the correct measurements are being processed by DL/Subcontractors. Liaise with the Civils supervisor/DM to try to squash out as much civils as possible. Discuss on site issues with VM techs that visit site. Site Audits. Potentially stores orders for subcontractors/DL. If sites arent compliant rectify sites and note changes / close down site. Use of TOA app to capture images and complete audits. Keep an up to date map of all progress of builds Booking TM across the builds Utilizing the blockage system and send to relevant managers to make sure they are captured What we need from you. Hold a valid NRSWA full Supervisor Street works card, units 10 to 16. Smart award accreditations NOPS Relevant accreditations required (PIA Desirable) Must hold a full UK driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your license Knowledge of the VM02 (green) civils and FTTP / HFC network desirable. Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental practices: Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Construction Design Management Regulations and Section 74 Regulations. Have experience of working and building relationships with Local Authorities Telecommunication Knowledge especially in underground Civils or Cabling
