Depot Manager

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Depot Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring the depot runs efficiently and meets all performance goals.
  • The role involves managing and developing a team of service technicians, parts staff, and administrative personnel.
  • The Depot Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key focus, driving operational efficiency and cost reductions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers will be essential to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • The Depot Manager will coordinate closely with sales and aftersales teams to provide seamless customer support.
  • Management of inventory, parts, and equipment will ensure that stock levels meet customer demand.
  • Regular reporting on depot performance, including financials and operations, will be required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Candidates should have proven experience in a similar management role, ideally within the construction or heavy machinery industry.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required for managing both internal teams and external customer relationships.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple demands efficiently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a workshop environment is necessary.
  • Financial acumen, particularly in managing budgets, is important.
