Head of Early Years and Primary Curriculum

Salary: £57,100 - £76,500 per annum

Location: The Triangle Building / hybrid (working in the office at least 2 days per week)

Contract: Permanent full time 35 hours per week

This is a new role, created in order to build on the recent successful launch of Cambridge Early Years, strengthen the transition between Early Years and Primary and continue to provide a world-leading Primary programme. It provides an exciting opportunity to help ensure that Cambridge learners are ready for the world.

About the role

Providing strong programme ownership for Cambridge Early Years and Cambridge Primary, you will oversee the ongoing management and development of the curriculum, as well as being responsible for coherence across pedagogy, resources, training and assessment.

You will need to set out and communicate a clear vision, ensuring fit with customer requirements as well as Cambridge principles, priorities and strategic initiatives.

Co-ordinating market and customer insights, evidence and research on best practice in Early Years and Primary education and a wide range of data sources, you will monitor and manage the ongoing performance of the programmes to ensure that strategic and commercial outcomes are achieved.

Providing technical expertise for curriculum opportunities in Early Years and Primary for the Cambridge Partnership for Education you will support solution design, as well as presenting Cambridge capabilities and representing Cambridge in a variety of contexts as required.

Maximising the impact of Early Years and Primary, you will drive and encourage the curriculum team to innovate and shape new products.

About you

A skilled and versatile education professional, you will have deep knowledge and understanding of Early Years and Primary education and be confident in your ability to create and develop coherent customer propositions.

Working in or demonstrating understanding of the global education context is critical, as is breadth of experience in education – this could come from teaching and leadership in schools, training, advisory work etc.

You will be experienced in developing effective networks and in influencing stakeholders at multiple levels, as well as leading your own team. Able to identify and focus on priorities, you will be skilled in motivating teams and ultimately delivering the highest quality outcomes for Cambridge and its customers.
