Group Quality Control and Health & Safety Manager | Congleton, Cheshire | Full Time | £40,000 p.a. + 4x Life Cover, Free Parking

They are looking for a driven Group Quality Control and Health & Safety Manager to lead their quality and safety initiatives. As the Group Quality Control and Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of Clarke Cable's products and processes. You will manage our Quality Management System (QMS), lead ISO certification processes, and oversee health & safety across the organisation.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Proven experience in quality control, health & safety management, and ISO certification.
  • NEBOSH qualification (essential) with a solid understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

What will your role look like?

In this role, you will:

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and material defects.
  • Provide monthly QA reports to the board, including internal/external audit results and returns analysis.
  • Manage in-house testing and inspection, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Conduct internal audits, monitor supplier performance, and ensure non-conformances are efficiently resolved.
  • Oversee the company's health & safety policies, monitor risk assessments, and ensure compliance with the latest legislation.
  • Investigate any health & safety issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Quality Control

  • Lead the ISO certification process and conduct internal/external audits.
  • Evaluate suppliers and ensure that all components meet our quality standards.
  • Ensure all equipment calibration is up-to-date and compliant with required standards.
  • Manage product testing and inspection, ensuring products meet approved samples.

Health & Safety

  • Maintain current NEBOSH certification and audit H&S operations.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S policies, overseeing contractor work and conducting risk assessments.
  • Liaise with local and governmental H&S departments to ensure all legal obligations are met.
