Cloud architect (m/f/d) Work location Frankfurt am Main Berlin Düsseldorf Hamburg Hanover Leipzig Mainz Munich Stuttgart Working hours Full-time (part-time is generally possible), permanent Start date as of now Job ID 2024_0888_02 Work of special value: Your commitment with us As an architect in an agile interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the system and solution architecture of IT solutions for the Bundesbank's cloud. You will keep an eye on both architecture and security regulations and support architecture projects from conceptualization and go-live to maintenance and servicing. You will also integrate the cloud services into the Bundesbank's enterprise architecture, with a particular focus on connectivity to existing IT systems, e.g. for monitoring. Integration into the Bundesbank's operating and service processes is an elementary part of your work. Your main tasks: As an architect in the event streaming area, you will be responsible for the architecture of the Kafka platform for the Bundesbank's hybrid cloud. You will take into account the functional and non-functional requirements as well as the convenient usability of the platform by specialist applications in both the private and public cloud when designing the solution. You will also be involved in a tender for additional external support. Furthermore, you will evaluate and analyze relevant market developments with regard to event streaming platforms, application communication and cloud technologies in general As an architect in the public cloud area, you will contribute to the architecture of the Bundesbank's public cloud. This includes networks, gateways, load balancers, firewalls, storage, databases and (managed) services. You will focus on the integration of workloads in the public cloud. Furthermore, you will evaluate and analyze relevant market developments regarding cloud technologies in terms of usability by the Bundesbank. For targeted further development, you will coordinate within the team as well as with architects from other units and external service providers. To carry out your tasks, you will increasingly rely on agile working methods.
