Insulation Technician
An aerospace client is looking for a Insulation Technician who will perform a variety of duties assisting thermal insulation products engineers in the design, fabrication, packaging, inventory and integration of Space Vehicle MLI.
Location: Redondo Beach, CA 90278
Position: Insulation Technician
Pay Rate: $36/hr. on W2
Duration: 9 months or longer
Schedule: 9/80, work 9-hr days on Mon-Thurs, and an 8-hr day every other Friday. It ends up being 80 hrs. over 9 days. Must be flexible to work any shifts

Responsibilities:
- This position performs a variety of duties assisting thermal insulation products engineers in the design, fabrication, packaging, inventory and integration of Space Vehicle MLI.
- The preferred candidate will be a self-starter able to work independently or in small teams to fabricate MLI products from 2D design templates and install MLI products onto space flight hardware at the unit, subsystem, and system levels per installation drawings and procedures.
- Individual must be able to follow standard MLI processes and maintain necessary certifications.
- This position may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing to work any shift and extended work weeks. Some travel may be required.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; and 1-2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Steel toed shoes required.
