Job Description
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a skilled nursing facility in Bakersfield, CA for a 13-week contract with the possibility to extend.?he ideal SNF SLP will have a minimum of 1 year experience in the geriatric population.?ew grads are encouraged to apply.?his can be a travel or a local assignment.?
Responsibilities of a Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist: * One 1 year experience in Speech-Language Pathology in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred, new grads are encouraged to apply * Provide short-term rehabilitation, geared toward a functional return home * Deliver restorative therapy to improve the quality of life of the long-term residents in the facility * Interact with families and nursing staff on patients* after-care programs * Capability to work independently and manage time effectively * Successful completion of competency and proficiency skills evaluation specific to the requirements of the position upon hire * Provide recommendations to the Director of Rehab and other team members * 13-week assignment * Documentation is completed in a timely, complete, legible, concise and accurate manner * New grads and experienced therapists are encouraged to apply - We will support you through this transition"
