Job Description
ERSG are looking for a Technical Site Administrator for a UK Energy Project.
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Technical Site Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of a key energy project in the UK. This role is critical in ensuring smooth communication, documentation, and coordination between on-site teams, project management, and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle the dynamic environment of energy projects, including renewable or traditional energy sectors (such as wind, solar, oil & gas, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide technical and administrative support to the Site Manager and project teams, ensuring smooth on-site operations.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including technical specifications, site reports, schedules, and permits. Ensure documents are accessible and up to date.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate site activities with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders. Ensure project timelines are maintained and reported to the project management team.
- Compliance and Safety: Support the implementation and documentation of health, safety, and environmental standards in line with UK regulations, ensuring all certifications and site inspections are properly recorded.
- Inventory and Asset Management: Oversee inventory management of materials, tools, and equipment on-site. Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement when necessary.
- Technical Reporting: Compile technical reports, summaries, and updates for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- IT Systems & Software: Maintain and update site software systems, including project management tools, databases, and digital platforms. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize on-site meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items to ensure follow-up.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
Requirements:
- Education: Relevant qualifications in engineering, project management, or administrative support (HND/Degree Level preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in technical administration, preferably in the energy sector (renewables or traditional). Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of technical documentation and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and site plans. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time-management and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues and proactively seeking solutions to ensure smooth site operations.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations in the energy sector.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hydro, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance management software and construction site management tools.
- Basic IT troubleshooting skills or technical certifications.
Working Conditions:
- This role will primarily be site-based with potential office-based tasks as needed.
- Travel may be required between sites and regional offices.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate project needs, with occasional weekend work.
